Introduction to Blacksmithing
One Day Course - £200
Join us for a hands-on one-day blacksmithing experience where you'll learn the fundamentals of this traditional craft in a fully equipped forge, located Inside Portland works a 145 year cutlery works in the heart of Sheffield.
No prior experience is needed—just enthusiasm and a willingness to get hands-on with fire and metal
Lunch and drinks will be provided (please let us know of any dietary requirements.)

Safety First – A full safety briefing and the use of all necessary PPE (provided).
Learn essential blacksmithing techniques, including heating, forging, forming, and finishing of steel.
You will also get hands on with the power hammer as part of the course.
Make Your Own Piece – Our projects will allow you to combine a number of techniques and you will leave with a piece as a memento of your hard work!
