COVID-19 UPDATE
Following Government guidelines, we have tailored the day to use all necessary safety precautions whilst completing your course. We are signed up to Track & Trace and are implementing cleaning and sanitising procedures. We also ask that you answer a short questionnaire (sent to your registered email address) about your health the morning before entering the workshop.
Blacksmithing courses
Our courses are aimed at small groups of one or two people. This gives the attendee(s) tailored one-on-one tuition throughout the day. The course will be centred around you spending as much time as possible at the anvil.
Housed in Portland Works - a Grade II listed, 140 year old cutlery factory, in the centre of Sheffield. Courses are day-long including lunch, protective equipment and offer a tailored project for the day - making sure you leave with something you are proud of to take home.
Combining traditional techniques, power hammer work and our knowledge - the course will be a day to remember.
Course enquiry form
Use the form to start the process of booking your day. We have vouchers available if you'd like to book a course for someone as a gift. Try and provide as much information as possible when filling out the form; who the course is for, when you would like it to take place and what you would like to make. We will work with you to decide on something to make on the day but it could be anything from a decorative hanging basket for the garden to a fully finished kitchen knife. If you're unsure just let us know what your interests are and we will do our best to come up with a design you'll be excited to take home.
Courses start at £220 per person, depending on project complexity.
